Datacraft Taiwan took actions to help the victims of Typhoon Morakot
On 8 August 2009, Typhoon Morakot hit Taiwan - the worst typhoon ever to hit Taiwan in 50 years. Datacraft Taiwan acted quickly to help the victims by donating relief items such as flashlights, radio, blankets and money through World Vision. Some others helped to clean up the streets and houses of the survivors while others donated a day of their salary. Together with the contribution by our Operating Committee members, a total of NT$500,000 (US$15,000) was donated and it will be part of World Vision’s "Child Sponsorship in Affected Areas" programme, focused on providing education and care for the affected children. The team will also be giving text books to the children through other charity organisations. All these effort will assist the affected children to adjust back to normal life.
