Datacraft tops in shareholder return
In a survey done by Business Time in Singapore, Datacraft has been named the Best Performing company over a five-year period with a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 50.4 per cent in its total shareholder return. The findings are drawn from the inaugural BT-LEK Shareholder Value Scorecard (SVS), the first such ranking of shareholder value creation in Singapore. The SVS was developed as a collaborative effort between global strategy consultants LEK Consulting Pte Ltd and The Business Times to measure the performance of publicly listed companies based on TSR over one, three and five-year periods from June 30, 1996 to end-June this year. It ranked 351 companies listed on the SGX.

Datacraft named by Forbes as among the world's 200 best small companies
Datacraft has once again being named among the world's 200 best small companies compiled by the prestigious Forbes Global magazine. Forbes chose the companies from an initial shortlist of 20,000 listed firms around the world with an annual revenue of less then US$500 million. To cut the list to 200, the companies were judged on their profitability, earnings and sales growth. Forbes also talked to fund managers, analysts and industry watchers to spot companies with brief history but promising futures.

For its outstanding performance as one of Cisco's key business partners in the region, Datacraft has been named Partner of the Year for Asia 1999 for the second consecutive year, as well as Partner of the Year for Asia Pacific 1999, a newly created award. In winning the awards at Cisco's gala presentation in Las Vegas, Datacraft outperformed 350 other Cisco partners in the region. Cisco's Partner of the Year evaluation is based on a multi-criteria scoring system that covers year-on-year business growth, investment in skills and quality of strategic partnership with Cisco.

The Datacraft website has won the Web Award 2000 from Telecom Asia, a leading regional telecom publication, as one of the top mulitnational telecoms vendor sites in the region. The Datacraft site drew top ratings from a panel of Telecom Asia judges who have pored through hundreds of telecom sites over the past year in search of the best websites. Selection criteria used to identify the winners were ease of navigation, value-add, concisenss of design, overall usefulness and aesthetic design. The award places Datacraft in the same league as US giants such as Nokia, Cisco Systems, Nortel Networks and 3Com, which were also selected by Telecom Asia for their outstanding corporate websites.

This is the third consecutive year that Datacraft has made the list. In addition to being one of the best managed companies, Datacraft Asia also tops the list for overall strategy, investor relations, reliable forecasting and access to senior management.

Forbes Global ranks Datacraft as one of the world's 300 Best Small Companies".
Datacraft Asia has once again been ranked among one of the world's Best Small Companies by Forbes Global, a US business magazine. Datacraft made its debut on the list last year. The selection is based on companies with "the strongest financial performance", both inside and outside of Singapore. Its definition of "small" covers companies with less than US$500 million in revenue in the latest fiscal year. Its criteria for sizing up financial strength are at least 10 per cent return on equity in the past year, and 15 percent sales and earnings growth. Datacraft's 27 percent return on equity and 25 percent revenue growth has surpassed their criteria.

Datacraft Asia ranked among the top 30 listed companies in Singapore by leading local dailies.
The Straits Times, Business Times and Lianhe Zaobao has ranked Datacraft Asia among the top 30 companies listed in the Stock Exchange of Singapore, based on the company's market capitalisation of about 1.2 billion Singapore dollars as at 31 December 1998. Datacraft also held its stead in the billion dollar club.

Datacraft Asia was voted by Asiamoney as one of the top 100 best managed companies in the Asia Pacific region
The poll was based on an annual survey of about 700 fund managers from around Asia Pacific, UK, US and Europe. Fund managers were asked to rank their top three choices in seven categories: access to management, forecasts, financial accounts, investor relations, strategy, small caps and newly listed.

In the 2 November issue, Datacraft Asia was picked as one of Forbes Global's 300 Best Small Companies. In compiling the list, Forbes searched databases containing over 13,000 global companies, with specific focus on companies with annual revenues less than US$500 million and return on equity of at least 8% in the latest fiscal period. Forbes also polled bankers, fund managers and securities analysts to ascertain and finalise the list.

Datacraft Asia voted the Best Systems Integrator in Asia Pacific by Telecom Asia.
In the 1998 Reader's Choice Awards, Telecom Asia conducted a poll based on over 500 replies from its 20,000 subscribers. Datacraft Asia was ranked above IBM and Singapore Telecoms. Telecom Asia is a Hong Kong-based trade publication focusing on business and technology news for the Asia Pacific Telecom Professional.

This is based on an annual survey of 250 fund managers from 150 institutional investment houses worldwide conducted by Asiamoney on "Asia's Best Managed Companies."
