Datacraft appointed by leading Japanese financial services company as strategic IT partner
Three-year managed services contract to assure network security
and availability at all times

Singapore, 27 Jan 2010 - Datacraft, the leading IT services and solutions provider in Asia, has been appointed by a major Japanese financial institution to maintain its mission-critical network and security environment. The contract, worth US$1.2 million, entrusts Datacraft with the entire network and security management for a period of three years.

As a leading financial institution, the company focuses on matching specific orders from customers to existing stocks on the system in order to optimise the stock trading opportunities. Optimum network performance is critical at all times to process the immediate data transfer and analysis vital to meet customer demands in the real-time trading environment.

The firm has the technology to instantly tally its customers' orders with the existing trading opportunities on its systems, said Hidetaka Kai, General Manager for Datacraft Japan. It appointed us as its strategic IT partner to assure round-the-clock network performance, as well as the security of highly sensitive transactional data.

This purely managed services contract entails managing the client's network and security environment which include managing its Cisco, Nokia and Check Point technologies. Datacraft's strong relationship with these partners at a regional level was extremely valuable.

Support was offered in the form of Datacraft's Uptime service, which is designed to deliver optimal network performance, providing total support, troubleshooting and resolution services for mission-critical IT systems 24 x 7 x 365.

Our Uptime service offering provides a superior level of support across core performance-related processes to ensure all pain points are addressed in a timely manner with zero downtime for the firm's operations. This is essential in the fast-paced world of global trades,' said Kai. This is also the first time that Datacraft Japan offered a direct support model for Check Point, setting a precedent for our future projects.

In order to ensure the proper delivery and provide regular update meetings for optimum visibility, a senior security delivery manager was also assigned to this project.
